The Clifton Public Library is proud to be a recipient of the Libri Foundation grant for children’s books.

The Libri Foundation is a nationwide non-profit organization which donates new, quality, hardcover children’s books to small, rural public libraries in the United States through its BOOKS FOR CHILDREN program.

The Foundation supports the concept that children who learn to enjoy reading at an early age continue to read throughout their lives. In order to develop a love of reading, children must have access to books which stretch their imaginations, touch their emotions, expand their horizons.

The library received a wide variety of fiction, nonfiction and young adult books. We also received an extra grant for science and math books.

We are anxious to have the children see and check out the new books.  It is always fun when new books arrive at the library. They will be available for SUMMER READING.
