The Clifton Library Board meets every third
Monday of the month at 5:00 pm at the library.
History
The first Clifton Library Board Meeting was held in 1953,
and Mrs. Frank Bryan was appointed the first librarian.
The original library site was the home of Mrs. Pitt-Best,
who donated her house once she moved from the area.
This was located across the street from the Clifton High School.
The Library relocated into the City Hall building in 1980 and remains
there. The original site has since become a parking lot for the
Clifton-Clyde Middle School.
The Library is a member of the
North Central Kansas Libraries Regional System.
